Function
The arm cylinder, also called the stick, crowd or dipper cylinder, extends and retracts to swing the stick toward and away from the machine, setting the reach and depth of the digging arc. It is pinned between the boom and the stick and is driven by pressurized oil from the main hydraulic circuit.
